We've helped a bit. I mean with turning these countries into hell-holes.

Nothing to do with me, I've never been to America!...…...and have no intention of ever going there!

This is a attack ,similar to 9/11

Then instead of simply voting, you might want to enroll...except that defending the Southern border, you may find yourself sent in Irak to spread democracy, or in Yemen to spread famine...

As for El Salvador, the US meddling there is so well-known that you can easily do it yourself.  As I have stated above, trace what happened to Oscar Romero and those four nuns just for starters

Can you just tell me , what happened to Oscar Romero ?

Er, this is because there is a HUGE market for the stuff dude.

White middle class Americans WANT their coke.

Not anymore!

They want their opioid tainted painkillers, and they can get them from the pharmacy...no need of the South American cartels for that, the big pharma cartel can "deal" with this...

No.

The majority of the opioid junkies are white trailer trash. Not all, but most. Bigger hit & cheaper than imported coke.

Right, but I thought that it was only the 1% who could afford the imported stuff, while the 99%, either living in trailers or in underwater homes, were looking for a cheap trip and a fast lane to the cemetary...

now it is a thousand and maybe easy to prevent these poor immigrant to enter USA.

but but, time will come and these immigrants will group as millions and walk.

and once they reach a million or more, no army can prevent them from entering from any border.

those days are not far due to the malpractice of USA and sh.tty politics which made all South American countries in bad shape with bad economy with poor people.

and sure they look for greener pastures naturally to feed their families. i guess we all do the same.

you reap what you sow.

"Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Arizona, said the caravan is another example of how undocumented immigrants and “their enablers continue to flout the laws of the United States” and urged his fellow lawmakers to approve a bill he introduced to penalize the home country of every undocumented immigrant caught at the border".

“We have continued to provide foreign aid to our neighbors to the south even though they permit, and even encourage, thousands of their citizens to enter the U.S. illegally,” he said in a statement issued Wednesday".

"Analysts say most migrants are not dissuaded by the risk of the road and ignore admonishments from the U.S. government, or anti-immigrant sentiments that appear to be more prevalent in the country, because the situation is that dire in their own countries".

They are not dissuaded because they are being enabled and handsomely supported by the farleft's  organization's, that push globalism and socialism with no boarders ideology! They are a burden on their countries .I don't want that for my country,we have to many homeless sleeping in the streets.

Actually, most economic analyses shows that undocumented immigrants are a net benefit to the country.

"A 2007 review of the academic literature by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that "over the past two decades, most efforts to estimate the fiscal impact of immigration in the United States have concluded that, in aggregate and over the long term, tax revenues of all types generated by immigrants—both legal and unauthorized—exceed the cost of the services they use." While the overall fiscal impact on the US is beneficial, unauthorized immigrants have an adverse impact on the budgets of state and local governments."

You might want to read the post #60 from 55Jay...

You need to see further than that...these few thousands are but a small sample of the millions waiting behind.

Opening the doors would be seen as an invitation...look at Europe and see what happen after you open the doors...there is no end to the flow...

Your post is a perfect illlustration of baseless alarmism of anti-immigrant posters.

Whatever my nationality may be, (and on what basis you make your inference is past me,) thanks for offering yourself as a model to show that nationality is no substitute for intellect.

Now let me demonstrate to you what rational discourse looks like.

In the Bloomberg article by Noah Smith, he show that there is actualy a net outflow of undocumented Mexican immigrants in the USA. And the reason for that is simple: demographics. As the fertility rate in Mexico declines, the economy is better able to absorb its young people. Right now at 2.18 Mexico is virtually at replacement level for its population. Which is why the negative numbers.

Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador's birth rates are also declining. They're still above replacement level but the decline is quite steep. It would be even steeper if the USA gave more funds to family planning. But as I'm sure you don't know, not only has funding declined under the Trump administration, but for the first time they have stopped given any funding to any family planning institute with any connection to abortion services at all. So by its policy, the Trump administration is actually prolonging what it claims to believe is a problem. Can you recognize the contradiction?

I'm not anti-immigration.  I do not like illegal immigration.

I also don't like murder, rape, and shop lifting.  That makes me anti-murder, anti-rape, anti-shoplifting.  No implied stigma there, so that's no problem.   ????

Well, you might be pleased to learn that since you don't like murder, rape, and shop lifting, illegal immigrants are far less likely to commit these crimes than are American citizens.

MOSTLY TRUE: Undocumented immigrants less likely to commit crimes than U.S. citizens

Feel any better now?
