What a veritable quagmire of conflicting interpretation of the law my simple question has led to.  It would be easy for the legislating authorities to add half a line to clarify the position, ie to refer to departure from Thailand before the expiry of 7 days after the 90.  As I said I shall pose this question to Korat immigration at the next opportunity to do so.  But then there's no guarantee that the answer I get will be necessarily correct or universally dependable .... the charms of Siam ????
