Hello,

I'm looking for the cheaper solution to build the walls of our house. Of course, i want something strong and with a good insulation. What do you think about using standard red bricks ? If i use it in the width ? I mean if the brick are 190 mm x 90 mm x 90 mm, the wall thickness will be 190mn. Other possibility ? Use 2 layers of red bricks so it will be 990+90mn) = 180mn. What do you think please ? My home builder will be paid per sqm so it's not important for me if he has a lot of work ????

Cheers

You're on to a loser if you think you can cheat the builders, they cheat us. No way they will agree to a similar price per meter, you will be paying a high price laying the reds width ways....
