Sinéad O'Connor converts to Islam

Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor has announced she has converted to Islam.

 

The artist, who is best known for her 1990 hit version of the song Nothing Compares 2 U, said she had changed her name to Shuhada'.

 

In a message on Twitter, she thanked fellow Muslims for their support.

 

She has said that her decision was "the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian's journey" and uploaded a video of herself singing the adhan, or Islamic call to prayer.

It was only recently that She was attending Religious services at Synagogues and was following the Jewish Religion , seems like this is just another attention seeking announcement .

I do follow her on FB and its just one attention seeking announcement after another , which were once headline news , but which now no one takes much notice of .

Constantly retiring , making a new album , leaving the music industry , getting married , retiring , getting divorced , making a new album, world tour , cancelling world tour and retiring 

   Sad really , she made two very good albums 30 years ago and She was World famous , I do think that she has difficulty in not being famous anymore .

When I was in HK many years ago one of the staff was a young Hindu lady named Ambreen. The question was asked of her what's a Hindu and before she could answer the retort was "lays eggs" .

 

I never forgot that, thought she might be offended, but she just cracked up thought it was hilarious and probably dines on that to this day.

I have to confess I fail to see how an intelligent theologian could come to the conclusion that following a pernicious faith, created by the ramblings of a pedo, and poorly scribbled down in three different versions, (all three of which are apparently the word of God to their adherents), is in anyway a natural conclusion. Laughing at its absurdity would probably be more appropriate for any one with brains.

And the same applies to anyone who believes a Jewish guy who could walk on water, turn water into wine (well I can do that but not immediately), and rise from the dead.

I marked her as a potential suicide some years ago. If I'm right I hope she doesn't do so while wearing a tent.

So now she has converted, what happens if after 6 months she decides that it's not for her, wearing that bloody shawl all the time, is she an apostate and liable to execution.

Islam is no more ridiculous than the other 2 large Abrahamic religions - Judaism and Christianity - and the thousands of other religions.

 

 

I understand people who grow up in a muslim environment and get brainwashed from the beginning believe it is a good thing to adhere to this kind of belief - but a woman who had the advantage to grow up not muslim ? 

Very likely she is mentally unstable - no other explanation.
