One of our hobbies since retirement is photography in particular street photography.  We took some great shots of a lady at her stall (with her permission) the other morning.

 

We would like to give the lady a print of the photo but am not sure if there is any local customs that we need to be aware of. We certainly don’t want to offend or breach any local customs.

 

Would it be okay to give her the photo?

You did all the right things, I'm sure a photo would be appreciated. Occasionaly, when filming a street musician or the like, who is begging for money, it's appropriate to give them a few baht.

I always asked first, never had an issue. To say thanks just buy whatever they are selling.

 

Sure she would be delighted with the photo.

You should have no problems with the ladies photo's but what you could do is

show courtesy and approach her first to get her feelings.

Thanks for all your replies.  We gave the lady the photo this morning and her smile said it all, she was delighted with the photo.
