Chanel fashion show docks in Bangkok

Bangkok fashionistas watched the arrival of Chanel’s La Pausa collection at Charoen Nakhon Road's pier five.

The Cruise collection 2018/19, inspired by Chanel’s veteran German designer Karl Lagerfeld's native city of Hamburg, arrived on the Chao Phraya.

Tilda Swinton, Pharrell Williams, Lily-Rose Depp and other celebrities attended the event.

The latest collection featured glided naval silhouettes that Lagerfeld adorned with the modernism of Chanel.

He revisited their wardrobe with tweed berets while the dresses were narrow and ultra-short, flirting with the line of a tunic.

The jacket, fastened with La Pausa stamped buttons, becomes a double-breasted blazer-dress and is worn alone or with a white pleated skirt.

My Thai wife ad I were married 20 years ago in Vegas. Have been trying to get that marriage recognized in Thailand. Leaving out all the details - The US Department of State got our certification application -- and lost the certificate. Rather than repeat the onerous process, we're thinking of getting married here in Thailand. I would need to visit the Embassy in BKK for an affirmation of ability to marry (I have a divorce certificate). A visit to the local Amphur to check their requirements. My question - Any one out there have experience with the same situation? My wife thinks they won't let us marry twice. Before we walk into the Amphur office, I'd like to have information that may help - Sometimes the Amphur visits feel like russian roulette. (And no - I don't feel lucky). Thanks in advance -

Not talking about the obvious stuff that brings most of us here initially. I mean the longer term decision to actually settle down with a Thai woman specifically. Looking back I think the relationship dynamic played a bigger part in my choice than I ever admitted at the time. The roles are just... clear. He provides, she takes care of the home and family.
