  • You must be really wired to post that. You should insulate yourself more and be more direct rather than write alternating and shocking responses.

  • This is shocking. Is this live news? It's brought me down to earth. Currently my bills are enough already. They really want to 'sock-it' to us. I think I'll pull the plug on T

  • Put a plug in it, overherb. I'll be grounded at these prices. Don't 'pile-on' the pressure. Cost me a fortune to listen to AC/DC now.

Perth is subtropical, way down on the 32nd parallel. To make a fair comparison, you'd have to live in Darwin. I never needed aircon in SE Queensland, (a bit more tropical than Perth), so no comparison would be meaningful.

Having lived in both Perth and Brisbane ( have you?) I can tell you I KNOW what I’m talking about based in PERSONAL experience but, you are entitled to your opinion, even if you are wrong !

I know the temperatures in both cities, and to compare them with a tropical climate like Thailand that doesn't have seasons is absurd. There's no comparison. Yes, I have lived in both cities. You have long periods throughout the year (it's called winter, spring and autumn) where you wouldn't need air conditioning at all. I didn't even use it in summer. The point was, comparing monthly bills from Perth to Thailand is meaningless. Obviously, Darwin is a closer match at about the same latitude.

“Me thinks”you have nothing better to do than argue for the sake of arguing.

Poor, sad soul that you are....feel very sorry for you!

Better get prepared to get the happy end soapys with cold water,  as it will be cheaper !

Guilty as charged.
I'll be more positive in future.
Enough of the negativity.
Try to be neutral as you look on.
I feel we are poles apart.
Now now. Don't bring Polish people into this electric discussion.
