Floodwater at Bang Saphan Hospital subsides

By The Nation

The flood situation in Prachuap Khiri Khan improved on Saturday and the floodwater at the Bang Saphan Hospital has subsided, officials said.

Prachuap Khiri Khan deputy governor Pirom Nilthaya said the flood situation in Bang Saphan and Bang Saphan Noi caused by heavy rains on Friday has improved.

He said the water on main roads has subsided and only some secondary roads were still partially flooded.

The deputy governor said the provincial administration has dispatched officials to give cooked food and drinking waters to families affected by floods in certain areas.

He said the provincial administration has set up a rescue operation centre in front of the Bang Saphan Witthaya School.

Bang Saphan Hospital director Cherdchai Chayawattho said the floodwater at his hospital has subsided but it would take two days to clean up the facilities before full services could be resumed.
