PARADISE, Calif. (Reuters) - Emergency teams searched on Monday for more than 200 people listed as missing in the deadliest northern California wildfire on record as officials voiced concerns the casualty toll will climb higher and crews battled for a fifth day to suppress the flames.

Two alleged mules arrested in Bueng Kan, pills and crystal seized

Two young motorcyclists were arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle nearly 14,000 meth pills and 720 grams of "ice" from the Mekong riverbank into Bueng Kan early on Tuesday.

Female Thai "ice" smuggler given 17 years in Indonesian jail

TNA reported that a twenty two year old Thai woman had been given a jail term of 17 years after she smuggled 1.16 kilos of methamphetamine into Indonesia through the Ahmad Yani airport in Semarang, central Java.

Search resumes for body of Malaysian drug suspect in Narathiwat river

Two eastern Bangkok underpasses to open next month to ease jams

Wissanu sees no justification for election to be postponed…at least for now

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said this morning that at least for now  he sees no justification for the election scheduled for February 24 to be postponed despite the fact that the on-going mapping of election constituencies by the Election Commission is reported to be still in progress.

Husband faces detention, while taxi driver testifies about acid-splashed wife’s death

Police on Tuesday brought Kamtan Singhanart, 50, to apply to the Thon Buri Court’s order for a 12-day detention after he was accusedof splashing acid on his now-dead wife Chorladda Tharawan’s face before fleeing on November 9.
