BANGKOK, 13th November 2018 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order is set to promote public understanding of the election roadmap.

Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army Gen. Apirat Kongsompong , who is also the Secretary General of the NCPO, told a meeting of the Secretariat of the NCPO that Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, chief of the council, has offered his appreciation to all units involved in the clampdown on illicit drugs during the past three years, which has earnt a positive response and praise from the public.

Gen. Apirat added that the Prime Minister has urged all units to continue their stringent efforts to fight drugs while instructing security-related agencies to coordinate the exchange of related intelligence among relevant units in order to intercept future drug smuggling.

He went on to say that the NCPO will introduce additional anti-drug measures such as more patrols and more active inspection programs to check suspicious packages and parcels.

So, a day or two back a report said 77% don't understand the road map and election process. So here we have an article purportedly to clear the issue up, but which instead pats themselves on the back for fighting a drug war the supreme court has acknowledged they have lost, while not actually enlightening folk on the election whatsoever. Bravo! 77% will remain ignorant sheep.

And there was me, thinking this piece was about the election roadmap. Silly me - I should have known it was about combating drugs, or was it just Prayuth getting his wires crossed . . . yes, probably, he's got a lot on his plate, lately. And, as for this Apirat guy; it looks like he's going to have a battle with BJ as to who gets man-of-the-match this month . . . he's everywhere and when he takes a breather from drugs, he goes round the villages, explaining to the ignorant masses, all about how to vote . . . what a feller.
