webfact
Hotel from hell! Poster gets 40,000 shares after review of a hotel in Maha Sarakham Pictures (3): Sanook A Facebook poster was surprised to get 40,000 shares after a review of a Maha Sarakham hotel he stayed in attracted a lot of online interest. Worawut Reuankaew and several mates stayed at the hotel on Sunday. They thought something was up when they saw the "economical" number sign on the door - a flimsy bit of paper scribbled with the number of the room. Inside things got worse. The bolt on the door was not aligned and was unusable. Plugs were hanging dangerously loose and the TV was fuzzy on all channels. In the bathroom the toilet seat was broken in two and missing and the room was in a terrible state of disrepair. A dial on the water heater just turned round and round. But the poster got a lot of laughs for his fun approach to the problem especially when he said that the knob on the door was in fine working order...and clean. People leaving comments said they would give the hotel a wide berth, reported Sanook. Popular Post ezzra
Amusing to see that 40,000 people has nothing better to do than to view an article regarding a crappy hotel, and that out the 40,000 maybe, just maybe a few were ever intended to make a use out of this information... 3

Cereal
Perhaps they were modeling the hotel after the rooms for athletes at the Sochi Olympics.

toenail
Thank goodness for social media postings; comments from customers on on-line booking agents ( such as Agoda or Hotel.com) & Trip Advisor to report the truth. True, some comments can be falsely made but with reading most comments one can make a better judgement in what to expect than a hotel’s website full of touched up photos. Cocoa Beach in Florida, pretty much the same as this - only the peephole in the door had been mounted the wrong way. So people in the corridor could check out the inside of my room...

That's good, most of the TV followers go to such hotels to be 'touched up'!

connda
They'll probably attempt to sue him for defamation, but how can you 'defame' a company for simply showing reality?

How? Because it's Thailand where you can be sued for damaging their business. The fact that their business deserves it is entirely irrelevant. If people refuse to stay there because of the post, then that has clearly damaged their business so the only verdict possible is guilty. That's the way it works in Thailand.
