NONG BUA LAMPHU, 17th November 2018 (NNT) - Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal, the acting commissioner the Metropolitan Police and the deputy director of Thailand’s Action Taskforce for Information Technology Crime Suppression (TACTICS) Center, has dispatched a team of administration police to clear the informal debt crime in Nong Bua Lamphu.

Yesterday, Pol Lt Gen Surachai Khuandechakhup, the commander of Provincial Police Region 4, searched ten places of loan sharks in six districts of Nong Bua Lamphu Province. A total asset of about 120 million baht and 452 loan contracts have been seized from six places, such as Tawan Leasing store and Si Suphan pawnshop. The other four places are being investigated.

Two debtors have borrowed more than 80 thousand baht each, one for agricultural investment, at the interest rate of 4 baht per month. They are happy with the government’s policy that helps them by lowering the interest rate.

In the evening, Pol Maj Gen Surachet and his team came to meet 30 debtors and declared the result of their operation regarding informal debts in Nong Bua Lamphu. He also said that both loaners and debtors will be treated with justice. Loan sharks also came to discuss with the police about the matter.

You are missing the point and being very "farang" by wanting to know the details.

What you are supposed to surmise from this story is that Big Joke is heroic (I think they are overdoing it on this point), the police are GOOD whilst the peasants are helpless and only the police who are GOOD can help them against the evil bad guys.

Don't think too much and trust the phoo yai to take care of everything.

Indeed.

One could easily guess as to the reasons and special interest that the police mafia take regarding situations of this nature.

Too close to home...
