Farm Stay holiday

Many Countries like Australia have Farm stay holidays where you can stay on a farm and help out , of course you have to pay for the accomodation etc but it gives City folk a chance to see what a farm life is.

 

Do any if you know if they have this in Thailand?

 

Somewhere where a farang or even Thais say from Bangkok can stay and experience farm life?

 

i guess nowadays i should be looking on apps such as Airbnb etc 

 

But i would love to experience say a few weeks of farm life somewhere, 

 

I did go last year to a place called Wan Non in Sakon nakhon area to a farm but it was only a few days and with a thai person i met so we went to see her family.

 

I stayed about a week and there were some ups and downs   , the downs were packs of dogs when i was walking to the temple in this small rural village,the monks didnt seem to give a toss about them being savage but these dogs ganged up on me luckily a thai guy stopped his motorbike on seeing this .

 

It was about noon time so there wasnt a soul around in the village,nit sure where everyone was but here i was strolling on a nice coolish sunny day only to be confronted by these savages.

 

i love dogs but these were very savage and in groups .I would carry maybe pepper spray next time because im sure they would of really hurt me had that thai guy not gone past on his bike and luckily stopped.

 

The second problem well not a problem was because i went with a thai girl to the farm and village there was some freeloader type rough looking thai guys who thought i would buy then beer from the local shop,in which i did on one round bought a case of beer,but i dont drink ,and i dint really enjoy socialising,its just not me,i enjoy being a loner and a quiet life,however as i said i bought a case of beer for that group and myself water but later on not buying more one drunk thai guy so drunk he wanted to bash me until some guys pulled him away,after that i got a bit scared ,and wanted to leave .

 

Most people however were friendly and i learnt a bit about farm life but as my post,i would like to live or experience a real farm in Thailand.

Lost 1 minute of your time, sounds like you got too much if you can sit on a computer all day.

 

obviously you dont have anything better to do on your farm ,no mob, no life,  but sit your butt on a computer and read everyones post and criticise,surely you have other things to do,cleaning,working, farmwork, but no you choose to be lazy , sitting i bet your big butt on a computer all day reading and making comments about others and scoffing food down wasting your time.

 

sounds like you have plenty of time,no need for time management in your life you just got too much.

 

your 1 minute wasnt valuable sitting your big fat butt down all day doing nothing,why dont you get up and do things on the farm instead of sitting there?

I imagine you’d have type 2 diabetes sitting there all day on your computer, 

 

i bet your house is a mess,dishes in the sink, 

 

you couldnt go out there like some of these farangs and do a hard days work,u need to get back to sitting,sitting on your butt with a computer, big belly , drinking away .

 

Because deep down your lazy, arent you?

so u find excuses not to work so you go back sit on a computer and log into forums to criticise people you dont even know,because you dont want to do other things but sit,sit on your big farang bum.

Obviously bored with your life,you poor old fat man bored out of your wits arent you .,no goals and nothing to achieve in life but sitting on forums all day and this one is not the only one is it i bet.

 

Why dont you get a life and stop logging onto the forums all day,surely you cant be that bored, what about staying at a farm nearby and helping out .

 

I really feel sorry for you , i really do, getting up first thing in the morning logging onto forums , to see whose replied to you, excitement of the day for you !

Look, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind to these kind of people,they need that.

 

That poster ( djayz) who put my post down has nearly 3,000 posts,he has never worked on a farm nor it seems done a days work in his life, if he did,he certainly doesn’t do it nowadays,but he chooses to go onto a computer and go thru every forum to criticise others rather than doing anything else thru the day.

 

Surely yourself / anyone would agree thats not a healthy life, im absolutely sure if it was your son or brother or whatever and they got up in the morning or afternoon probaly in this guys case ( poster djayz)and sat on a computer all day writing on forums you would say something to them right ?

 

you would tell them right that maybe limiting their time and doing other things might be more productive,why would you waste minutes as he complained writing back negative comments,he does that because deep down he is angry about his life,its not like its very very busy otherwise he would of skipped over it,so in all probality after replying to my post he would of gone again thru the forum replying to other posts,so he certainly isnt leading a busy life is he,in other words,he is bored.

He is certainly not getying up at 5am to do fencing with appointments thru out the day.

right.

You see these people like hm would deny that,they are deniers.

I always think people who are depressed with their life or bored or cant mind their own business  should work long hours, they soon forget about other peoples business,they dont have time.

 

Some of the guys on here say they are working long hours on the farm,hard work , not enough sleep, but you know what,they enjoy it,they dont have time to write hegative comments .,they couldnt careless about other peoples business.

You assume an awful lot. @djayz is a nice bloke with good contributions to TVF.

 

You totally over-reacted. If you seriously want advice on the farming forum be polite, even if you get some criticism.

I apologise if my post offended you. I admit I could have ignored you or I could have phrased my reply better, but like you said sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind.

 

Let me give you one word of advice about writing; If your title is "farm stay holiday", then you should only write about that topic. In your original post, you rambled on and on for four paragraphs about drunks, freeloaders and savage dogs. Not exactly related to "farm stay holidays", now is it? 

 

Good luck in your search for a holiday on a farm and I sincerely hope your next holiday is free of village alcoholics and hungry dogs.
