RTP: We are doing all we can to get Red Bull's 'Boss' back to Thailand

The Royal Thai Police have hit back at claims from a top prosecutor that they have done nothing to bring international billionaire fugitive Vorayuth Yoovidhya back to Thailand to face justice. 

 

RTP spokesman Pol Col Krissana Patanacharoen said the Thai police were doing all they can. 

 

And he claimed that foreign police forces such as those in the UK were stalling the hunt.

 

Criticism had come earlier from a prosecutor at the foreign affairs department that in the six months since a letter was issued demanding action the police had done nothing. A new request was now being made this month. 

 

Pol Col Krissana said that previous attempts to locate Boss in Canada had failed and that the RTP were following up with the UK and other forces. But they had received no word from them as to where the fugitive might be hiding. 

 

He said that Boss had complained to police in France about a notice for his arrest containing errors and that the RTP had sent the police there more details to rectify this three months ago. 

 

He was also asked by reporters why the Red Notice about Boss had apparently been removed from the Interpol site.

 

He said that the Red Notice was still in the system but that Interpol were responsible for it being posted on their website.

 

The fugitive is wanted in connection with the death of a Thong Lor policeman in September 2012. Wichian Klanprasert died after being dragged under the wheels of Boss's Ferrari. 

 

The fugitive is heir to the massive Red Bull drinks empire.

Unfortunately this bar steward probably has already a dozen of other passports plus enough assets abroad to live 100 lives ???? Not to mention that he has the support of his family which is loaded with the same.

It's a simple hit and run case.

His family & lawyers will handle it, and yes This is Thailand.

Hardly anything about it is surprising or worth getting excited about.

A few years back I am pretty certain that they posted the following message on his Facebook page...

 

"Dear 'Boss' please come back to Thailand..Please, please, pretty please.".

 

Surely you do not expect more than that.

 

 

Getting off their <deleted> might be a good first step but I'm sure they can blame someone else for their inaction, must be a least a dozen excuses left in the hymn book. 

the 10 years  will be up pretty  soon wont they?

First of all it's a sin to tell a lie. Second the excuse, Thai police were doing all they can by constantly showing the world what they can't do, does not work. And finally, there is too much of the same color involved here: boys in brown, brown envelopes, and a massive turd.

From what I understand there was a large compensation to the family and the police, so in that respect all is forgiven.
Nowhere else in the world would anyone get away with something like that.

Aren't all the main charges past the statute of limitations?

 

A few more years and he can come back with the RTP owing money for damaging his Ferrari.

Obviously a loss of face following the press article earlier in the week so time for a counter-press release full of excuses. Then the case can return to the unimportant file once again.

The statute of limitation for causing the death runs out in 2027.
