Municipal police stress tourist safety during high season

PATTAYA:--City hall’s top cop reassured Pattaya business leaders that tourist safety is his top priority during high season.

Pol. Maj. Jirawat Sukontasap laid out the municipal police policies during the Nov. 14 meeting of the Pattaya Business & Tourism Association meeting at the Sunshine Garden Resort.

He said city regulatory enforcement officers are checking for three main things: Hygiene in food quality and disease control, security and safety of people and their possessions both on land and sea, and ensuring convenience, cleanliness and safety for tourists.

Ambitious. Does the high season start like in 5 years?

Why is there a photo of Chiang Mai Doi Suthep?

If the police are so concerned why did they place plastic cones allover Sukhumvit yesterday afternoon?  There were numerous rolling about causing traffic to swerve.  What sort of brain comes up with this sort of plan in the name of road safety?  The sort that thinks nothing of holding up 500 cars during Friday night rush hour whilst the motorists are robbed of their licences which are then ransomed back.

Stop it - you're using logic again. It's not applicable here.

It might be top priority but crushing them under large coaches on Pattaya Beach Rd seems a regular event, like the marathon.

Ah! so their going to sit up straight in their chairs in their air-conditioned offices while counting the brown envelopes in stead of crouching??????
