With more and more industries embracing automation and robotics, many people now face the risk of losing their jobs. This trend will make more than half the workforce jobless over the next two decades in Thailand, according to the United Nations International Labour Organisation.

This is the argument for a universal basic income where food and shelter are provided with minimal health care as well. The problem as I see it is too many people will then sit on their laurels and breed like soi dogs. This is going to be a HUGE problem in the not-too-distant future.
