BANGKOK — Junta chairman Prayuth Chan-ocha is slated to visit Germany and meet Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday, government officials confirmed today.

Gen. Prayuth was originally scheduled to meet Merkel at the end of October, but the government postponed it at the last minute. The two leaders are set to discuss partnerships in industry, technology and education, officials said.

Rescheduled to Monday 26 Nov; last day for Prayut to apply for party membership in order to be eligible to contest in the polls and/or nominate as PM. Coincidental?

Two beloved leaders meet :whistling:

Looking forward to German news coverage.

And what does Thailand have to trade ?   Though the German diet seriously needs Somtam, cannot see what Thailand has to trade on a national level.

About 5.9 billion Euro from Thailand to Germany.

Not a big deal, a bit more than Somtam.

And food stuff is less than 10% of total volume.

Source is in German and I am too lazy to translate the whole list.

Machines, chemical products and plastics being some of the biggest.

As much as i oppose Merkel's refugee politics, please grant him Asylum asap and make sure he stays. It should be possible to find an adequate house for him in the new Thai community in Tutzing, Bavaria, located at lake Starnberg.

Maybe Thaksin and Yingluck can meet with Prayut to give him some political advice regarding election of the PM.

I expect that he is trying to take the UK's share of business if there is a "no deal" in the final Brexit negotiations.

You think they'll mention it? Only if he would buy some so terrible desired subs in Kiel...????

I just can't get over that awfully smug grin. Just makes my spine tingle with falseness...amongst other emotions.
