Seized Cannabis Deemed Unfit For Research

Health officials receive a 100-kilogram batch of marijuana from police on Sept. 25, 2018.

 

BANGKOK — One-hundred kilograms of seized cannabis police handed over to researchers in September turned out to be too contaminated for any medical use, a health official said Monday.

 

Lab test results showed the confiscated marijuana contained dangerous levels of pesticide, ruling out any use in research or treatment, according to the Medical Science Department’s Director Opas Karnkawipong.

Unfit for consumption, but in the meantime thousands of acres of farmland, sprayed with the same chemicals, is burning according to the Nasa firemaps.

Nice to see the weed is well protected by the SWAT team. Can't let the general public get secondary reefer madness can we.

I know. Thai weed just ain't worth it. Dirt weed and you feel like **** the next day. Obviously contaminated with pesticide. As much as I love cannabis, threw it all out. Garbage weed not with the risk. Hoping law changes soon.

Not fit for medical purposes. Good for recreational use only....

We have been advised in Thailand to soak all veggies in water for 20 min,so in theory this could also apply to weed and dry before use.....
