In addition to killing stories detrimental to trump, the National Enquirer "broke" many "news" stories which painted his opponent in a less than favorable light.

You realize what the National Enquirer is right? It isn't an actual newspaper.

While I am familiar with the supermarket tabloids, being a child of the 60's in America, I imagine that AMI would argue successfully in court that they are part of the "free press", and thus protected by the First Amendment.

Whether they are a "newspaper" is subject to debate, and one's definition of a "newspaper"? Tabloid, rag, gossip, trash, etc. might be more appropriate monikers?

There are rumors that Michael Cohen was supposed to shred all document related to the trump-pecker/porn-star-playmate payoffs, but that he chose not to do that, and the government now has all that sordid detail in their possession.

Again, Ouch.

Look at the cover I posted of what they do. There is no debate. anyway they will have to prove that Trump explicitly ordered them to make payments. Trump is going today the same thing about them as about Cohen.

Funny what sources people believe when it is against Trump.

Or, just play the tape?

Allen Weisselberg may make a good witness as well?

Hard to believe the trump org. spent money without it being approved by the don, I mean he is a "businessman" right?

There is no debate.

Agreed, but to the trump base The Enquirer is their "Gray Lady". They believe every word.

Breaking news, trump in the room with pecker and Cohen discussing payoffs. And there is a tape.

No wonder trump is so cray-cray.

"I am not a crook."

OUCH.

Trump was in the room during hush money discussions with tabloid publisher

A source confirmed to NBC News that Trump was the "other member of the campaign" present when Michael Cohen and David Pecker agreed to silence women.

Donald Trump was the third person in the room in August 2015 when his lawyer Michael Cohen and National Enquirer publisher David Pecker discussed ways Pecker could help counter negative stories about Trump's relationships with women, NBC News has confirmed.

This is all a load of horse manure and everyone with a brain and access to the internet knows it.  Mueller will come up a load short with his currently divulged indescretions.  He may be hiding more, but what would be the purpose?  If he's got anything on Trump worth bragging about why would it not out in the public already?  30+ million and two years of hunting without bagging anything bigger than a jack rabbit.......pretty lame.

I've honestly lost track of all the various/sundry unlawful activities by the trump crime family but am fairly certain that this particular endeavor - payoffs to porn-star/playmate - is being investigated not by Mueller but by the SDNY.

Mueller has been holding his cards particularly close to the vest so maybe just be patient?

And with his asset seizure of Mr. Manafort's ill-gotten booty he has more than self-financed that investigation.

555555555....pretty funny.  Mueller's got a shitload more on Trump and I think you know it.  And something that I didn't even know about....

[Over the past year, the indictments, convictions, and guilty pleas have largely been connected, in one way or another, to Russia. But now, special counsel Robert Mueller’s office is preparing to reveal to the public a different side of his investigation. In court filings that are set to drop in early 2019, prosecutors will begin to unveil Middle Eastern countries’ attempts to influence American politics...]

This will help to explain the Trump/Saudi connection.  I hope Trump has a Merry Christmas!

Nothing to see Mr. Mueller, please move along....

And the front page you posted is clearly a fake. What was your source for it?
