Candidates attend the final round of voting for senate seats in Bangkok on Thursday.

Around 2,746 candidates are participating in the voting on 27 December, during which 200 will be chosen for the final round.

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) will then select 50 candidates from the professional group to join the 250-member senate assembly, ahead of the general elections that are planned to be held in February 2019, the first poll since the 2014 military coup.
