Army Commander-in-Chief General Apirat Kongsompong today accused those campaigning against an election delay of having a “one-track mind” and bent on creating troubles.

“They are being told to think this way, ordered to behave this way – thinking in one single mode without taking into consideration other factors which are reasonable and without looking at the Constitution,” said the army chief.

He admitted that he is at a loss as how to reason with these activists whom he accused of having the tendency to cause disturbances.

No. The opponents of the election delay are bent on seeing democracy return. The Junta are no doubt hoping for major disturbances to give them a shoddy excuse to delay even more. Their time is nor run

So full of Junta BS. He needs to ask his boss to go pray.

  • Popular Post

Army boss is only worried about people creating problems over election delays because he is waiting for his turn at the trough.

  • Popular Post

No it's them who are causing trouble.

Which very probably comes from him being a lifetime soldier.

No. The opponents of the election delay are bent on seeing democracy return. The Junta are no doubt hoping for major disturbances to give them a shoddy excuse to delay even more. Their time is nor running short though, as the majority of Thais have had enough of them and their lies.

Actually, it's only the army and a very influential family that tell people how to think and behave. ????

Sickeningly pathetic words from this Prayuth MkII gun-bolstered bully-boy.

Democracy, rule of law, freedom of speech; all troublesome.

No the junta has delayed the election too many times and now the people are fed up with it. With good reason so its not them who are creating the unrest but the junta for constantly delaying the election.

There wouldn't be no need for his " loss " if they just held the election .. And he's also overlooking the fact that the current regime booted out a elected gov under threat of force .. Just bear that in mind Gen' before sounding off again ..

There must be a ministry of election delays and sub committees to complain to surely or just buy one????

The army chief just made a complete ass of himself describing exactly the way the military thinks and behaves...

Yes. Perhaps they're learning from the current Government!

Dear commander-in-chief, I strongly believe you are the one obeying orders, and they are the one who are thinking.

thought it was the army and the "blue" (maybe yellow here) collar people who were brainwashed from the moment of their birth

This is just the first step in the junta process where they find an excuse to transfer the blame for the delay from themselves to the people. They are masters in the art of duplicity from the very top right through to the lower ranks.

And this is the guy who is in charge of an army. How can he not understand those against the delay are totally justified when it’s been delayed by 4 years already and this artificially made delay is just that , artificial.

He probably does, but what good is all that army hardware of his if left undeployed?

  • Popular Post

Dear Sir: Simple solution. No delay, no protest about the delay.

Stand down soldier ....

He is delusional in thinking that he is being reasonable.  The knights in shining armor are now covered is rust and filth.  It is time for them to make way for an elected government.

Negotiation 101 with Thai caveats. ie. don't bother negotiating just roll the tanks.
