BigA
Submitted to the oh wisened ones of the forum. Advice on how to cut throught he red tape is appreciated? My Gals Pops was in from Issan yesterday so he could meet me & give permission for me to marry his daughter. I feel kind of bad because: I already obtained a certified copy of my US divorce decree that my Mom from back home sent. The lady at the Amphur showed me a certification form from the Embassy belonging to a Swedish man with a translation in Thai, and said I needed the same. She also mentioned something about proof of financial support. (I have a house with a blue book, a job, I can show pay stubs etc) Whats the story Larry?? Beside the certified copy from the embassy and the translation, what all do I really need? How long does it take and how much does it all cost. Next time I am just going up to the village. Regardless, I want all my ducks in row for next time!!
