Extend Thai Visa in Bangkok but address is not bangkok

Featured Replies

Thai Visa Extension at Bangkok 2019Went to Chaengwattana immigration office to extend my visa. Queue up for 4 hours and the staff told me I couldn't extend my visa there because my current address is nonthaburi. I've been extending my visa for the past few months at the same place without any problem. Is this some kind of new rules??

This video from Youtube said the same thing. Is it true? (Please let me know how to add a youtube video here)

Thai Visa Extension

Not a new rule. Been the same for many years. You can only apply for an extension of stay at the designated office for where your are living.

What kind of extension have you been doing the last few months. Or do you mean a report of staying longer than 90 days in the country.

You have to go to Nonthaburi Immigration office, same as I do, at least its a new facility with much more room in it!

Yeah have been to the one at Nonthaburi. It is less hassle and less traffic!

Never had any problem to do it at CW. In fact Nonthaburi refuses to do it there , because my working place was in BKK
