Interestingly though, since the last announcement I saw, "end of 2020" for being rolled out worldwide has now become "in 3 years". That sounds somewhat more realistic.

Neighbouring Burma (Myanmar) and Cambodia have had e-visa systems for some time now - very convenient and efficient but you must have a Visa or Mastercard Debit or Credit card to make payment. I use both e-visa systems and the service is for ALL nationalities.
