Cricky
Does anyone know what this plug is for? It is in my mate’s condo bathroom, he’s on the ground floor. I thought the builders place them in common areas to allow workers to access. I’ve had a look at other ground floor units they do not have these. johng
The brass plate is usually for septic tank access to pump it out.

Andrew Dwyer
I thought the builders place them in common areas to allow workers to access.Yes, that would be the logical thing to do, mine in in the middle of a concrete walkway at the back of the house I live in. Accessible but not very practical.Unless the lid has been used to plug another type of hole I would say your mate has been very unfortunate, hopefully it doesn’t need emptying while he stays there !!
