Immigration police in Pattaya who swooped to arrest a South Korean wanted in his home country for assault arrested his best mate too.

The second Korean was found to be on overstay of more than 12 years. They also found a quantity of drugs

The immigration website on Facebook announced the arrest Wednesday of Kyu Jae Lee who was wanted in South Korea for assault and was hiding out in Pattaya.

Also at his address was Byung Kwan Han who was found to be on overstay of 4,419 days.

Ten grams of "ice" methamphetamine was recovered at the address. The address was not disclosed.

A written commentary on the site completed with two exclamation marks said the friends had not deserted each other.

Yes, you did.

However, since that statement came from a high-ranking immigration official you can safely disregard it.

12 years overstay , if I never report to immigration I could probably stay here 20 years.

You did, the trouble is there are more holes in the border to plug... or should I say paid entrance holes!

Time he started to clean up the corruption inside his own backyard!

He's an example of Immigration's bad guys out motto -- if and when they happen to get around to it, or happen to luck into a longtime overstayer while catching a regular Korean criminal, probably at the behest of the South Korean police / Embassy or similar.
