EVIL-EYED robot nurses are roaming the wards of a Thai hospital as NHS bosses say droids could save Britain £12billion a year.

The Mongkutwattana General Hospital in Bangkok was struggling with a deluge of new patients at the end of last year and couldn’t hire enough staff to deal with them.

Instead, they bought three robot nurses and kitted them out in the health facility's sunshine yellow uniform. The new-age solution comes after a top doctor said robot carers could save the NHS £12billion a year.

Former health minister Lord Darzi, a leading surgeon, said nearly a third of care staff tasks could be handed over to robots. The Thailand machines seem to add credibility to his argument. They only perform simple tasks such as delivering paperwork and medicine to doctors.

Hahaha .. They're having a laugh .. Bed baths will be a bit clumsy looking at her hands .. once they've been unbolted from the thing she's carrying ..

Not sure whether 'unbolted' or 'unhinged' is the better description?
