I read somewhere that the rules have changed regarding Bank accounts, for renewing yearly retirement visas. Is this true ?
I have had 800K left untouched for many years, in a fixed rate deposit account, which has always been acceptable to Thai Immigration. Is this type of account still acceptable ? If not, which accounts are ?
Thank you.

I have not heard this. Perhaps this originates from the income requirement for retirement extensions, without Embassy letter, need to come from a Thai bank.

A Fixed deposit account is still acceptable, particularly if you have used it before. Some regional offices make up their own requirements.

Not true. No changes as to what type of account you can have.
