re-entry visa and 90 day report

Recommended Posts

hi....A little bit of confusion with me this morning...so I would like to ask the members a couple of quick questions if I may......

But first off I would just like to say how much i appreciate the members responses to my questions in the past. I find this forum to be an invaluable source of information regarding visas, immigration rules and forms etc  ......Thank You very much.

Now to my confusion....i have a re-tirement visa valid until Jan 2020 ...I will be visiting family next month so will be out of the country for about 5 weeks. I have just obtained a single re-entry visa so thats ok.....here are my 2 questions I have for the members.

1. My current 90 day report date is 15 April (2019) but i will still be away out of the country...so how does this work will I get a new 90 day report date on returning to Thailand ? or....

and

2. Upon returning to Thailand and filling out my arrival/departure card (TM6) when its asks for the visa number do I write the re-entry visa number or my retirement visa number on it?

Again many thanks for the support and information from the members on this forum...excellent

Expect a lot of flack for writing retirement visa from the PC brigade. Your next 90 report will be 90 days after you return. Re  visa nr, dunno, in 15 years i just ask what to put there when i go for the 90 report. But, never mind, your going to get dozens of replies telling you what I have already told you.  ( just saw the pretend Dr got his comment in before mine got submitted, over and out)

The visa # he asked about is on tm6 arrival card. As stated above this is your reentry permit number.

The need to make that report ends when leave the country.

The 90 day count starts again on the day you return. You will not be given a new report date. You’ll have to work it out yourself. Date of arrival = day 1.

Write the Re-entry permit number. And check you get stamped in for the right date before leaving passport control.

Important comment from elviajero, re checking you get the correct date on arrival stamp. "Until"

I fly every week and happened (first time ever) few weeks ago that io put incorrect date. To be fair she called me back as I was checking it. Had realized her small slip. Just crossed out date and put correct one. Anyway it does happen. Can be fixed later but much better to do on the spot.
