First you need to register on line , Enter all the info and print out the form with a barcode .

then make an appointment , also on line.

then off to embassy with your old passport and around 9000 baht .

processing time is roughly 2 weeks, you can opt to have new one posted out to you but then you have to leave old one with them.

new passport is more nicer and so it should be when you paying almost $500 for it.

Thanks BB......I have done that but I am surprised looking at the very small paper I should take with me, --71G-- it  has no box for independent person to vouch just two lines to fill in--

Yer there work hours for renewable passports are from 8 am until 10.45 am-----(wonder if there's any vacancies)

If you have your old passport, you do not need to have anyone vouch for you, its only if you lost your passport.

The online process they have made is actually very easy, the appointment times are just plain stupid if you ask me.

You will not have a problem booking an appointment, its all open and available.

Actual process takes less than 5 mins, they check the form against your passport, check the pics for correct size and brightness, pay the money and off you go.

Some have reported that their pics were turned down, i did not have this problem, i went into Kodak shop and asked for passport size photo's took the print out from the webpage to show the sizes needed and brightness. Did not bargain for a price and got perfect pics, from memory 100 or 120 baht for 4 pics.

Once passport is ready, you will receive an email to notify its ready for collection, though when you are there, they will also give you pick up date and time, with picking up they are little more generous, they give you till midday.

Just do not freak out when you have to go though airport type scanners to enter, belt off as well. Then the massive automatic supermax security doors, this doors work exactly like supermax prison.

One door needs to close before another one opens and no you can not force it to close or to open faster, so you stand and wait. On the bright side all staff are super friendly and security speaks pretty good English, there is no front entrance or door per say, when you see glass security office, this is the entrance.

Hello,

My passport gonna expire in December and I would like to do some important documents. Yellow House Book, Getting marry, renew my Driver License. Do you think it would be better to renew it before making all these documents? since as I understand it changes the passport number.

Will they renew it before the 6 month period (some airlines wont take a passport with under 6 months life--unless your flying back to base country) You know I haven't done any of those things that you mentioned ---and this will be my 3rd Passport here 19 years) . Oh your suppose to inform the bank as well, but many times I have taken out or received large sum of money and no one seems to check the number, just the iD. part.

I don't see the Passport number on the Marriage certificate or the yellow book.
