Can go to local immigration office twice in between Visa runs?

Featured Replies

Hi
I Arrived in Thailand, got my one moth visa on arrival. Then got the extension for another 30 days at local immigration. Then briefly went to Cambodia on a visa run & straight back to Thailand. So now can I get another 30 day extension at the local immigration office next?
Thanks

Well that's useful.
Thanks.
Do I need to bring some kind of landlords letter again?
I didn't have it at my previous visit to local immigration and I had to wait around for the landlord to come and give/sign something.
I guess I'd need it again. whatever it was.
You are supposed to tell the landlord if you intend to stay over a month, then they give you some kind of slip or something?

Wait for expert advice. Folks like me try to help but sometimes give incorrect advice. You are a tourist. Where you stay its up to owner to file tm30.

Thinking your previous experience was because owner of place you stayed did not file tm30.

Sounds fine then,  I guess the previous one that was filed will still be valid.

If not I will just do same again and contact landlord.

Hope I'm not left  'Stranded at the drive in.. branded a fool...'

Yes. “It” was probably a TM.30 report that should be made when you arrive/return to an address.

No. The landlord should report your stsy within 24 hours (not usually strictly enforced) regardless of how long your staying.

The only time you need to be concerned that the report is made is if you plan to extend your stay.

The previous one is no longer valid as you left the country. They will almost certainly insist on a new one being completed.

Whether another TM30 notification is required depends on your local immigration office. They all have their own different policies on this. If you identify where you apply for the extension, someone may be able to tell you.

If you leave the country and return not so. Another would be required. Was one submitted after returning from Cambodia.

I didn't submit anything after returning from Cambodia.
I guess I'll have to ask the landlord to give me another one then.
