Thai Reading Book Primary 1 To 6

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if the official thai reading books for primary 1 until 6 are available online?

I found the old book about มานี. But I can't find the new books about กล้า and แก้ว.

I have ever seen a (government) website with those books on there but the download failed.

I forgot the URL of this website.

they are here, but the download links don't work.

They do work on Firefox, but it takes a long, long time to download one single page! I have to wait over 5 minutes for one page to download. Surf the net while you wait.

It is probably easier for you to go to a store that sells the books. DK BOOKS in the basement of Seacon Square sells them as does the bookstore on the third floor of Central Ladprao (near the Central entrance). They are not very expensive at all.

The books are a nice insight into Thai culture. It is also fun to talk to your students about learning to read Thai from the same book!

There are also Thai ebooks here... http://203.146.15.111/index.jsp

Same slow downloading problems.

Useful link, thanks

Glad to share!

I especially like how you can choose what level of ebook you want to read and it will give you a list of all the books in that range.

I've found out why the download is so incredibly slow. One book is 90MB! And the download speed is 12 KB/s. They have just scanned the books, it's not a vector based PDF file.

Somewhere on the website they mention that the books are electronically available with sounds files for blind people. It would be very interesting to have these sound files.... but where can I buy them?

Thanks for the link. I have the first book in the series that my sister-in-law gave to me but I have been having a hard time finding the rest of the books. I even went to a big book fair at Queen Sirikit convention center and didn't find them there. SE-ED doesn't seem to carry them. I haven't been to Seacon Square or Central Ladprao. Is there a DK Books in other places as well?

I've found some of the books in a bookshop in Sri Racha, but most most bookshops don't sell the books because the children can buy them in school.

The shop that sell the books from the ministry of education is suksapan (near the democracy monument, thanon rachadamnern). They have all schoolbooks from anubaan, pratom and secundary level. It might be better to call them first. It's possible these books are being replaced by new books.

www.suksapan.or.th is not working at the moment.

I managed to download all books by right clicking on the links and selecting "save as", i took all night.

I have seen the books in my language centre, we got them from DK Books on Ngamwongwan. The staff at DK Books are usually very helpful.

Located past the Mall Ngamwongwan, head down Ngamwongwan towards Kaset, its on the left hand side, but do not use the flyover, as you will miss it.
