March 1, 200719 yr I have recently been to Laos to get my 2 month touist visa extendable by 1 month at the thai immigration office in bkk. I want to know if i can now get the same visa in phnom penh Cambodia. Any info would be much appreciated. Nomadic111
March 1, 200719 yr That, along with Rangoon, would be your worst choice. Try someplace else. didnt the above make sense??
March 1, 200719 yr That, along with Rangoon, would be your worst choice. Try someplace else. didnt the above make sense?? my guess is not i'd say yes you can make a visa there, if they will issue you on there. Edited March 1, 200719 yr by rainman
March 1, 200719 yr Avoid PP . The Embassy has not the capacity to handle addl foreigners , they are already very busy with the ever increasing number of Cambodian seeking/applying a Thai Visa. Go somewhere else , Malaysia for example.
March 1, 200719 yr Like it is stated,Myanmar ,Cambodia and also the Philiipines is a nono. They will not be cooperative to help you out,if they ever will give you,it will take a lot of persistence to make them change their mind(cambodia). So if you go just for the visa, absolutely go to malaysia.Cause one of the stated countries you will proberly not have a visa at all!
March 1, 200719 yr no, not exactly clear as to whether the visa was available there... In the writing it is meant that ,not that it is impossible in Phnom Penh, but they are reluctant. And at the moment proberly not even give you.A lot of other members went this road before. And most of them are send back and told to ask the visa somewhere else. The last time i read about a guy who did get it,but after 3 days of pursuading them ,they gave it to him but gave him a red stamp in his passport to never never ask for another visa in Phnom Penh again.he was really disturbt by them and gave the advise for anybody to not go there to ask them any kind of visa exmpt for Cambodians themself! So the aswer is no,you cannot ask for a visa there! But if you go there anyway, try it out and tell us your story how it went, but we know allready!
March 1, 200719 yr Trying to get a visa at the embassy in Phonom Phen is like asking your girlfriends father for a condom on the first date. That embassy does not like to issue visas for some reason.
March 1, 200719 yr nomadic111 has ask if Visa is available in PP. YES , they issue Visas in PP . While everyone advise against going to PP we can not stop nomadic111 from trying . Good luck
March 4, 200719 yr So far never replied to the OP question about Laos. Whats the situation in Vientianne? [ADDED]: Reread the question and okay he didn't write this but i would like to ask this question now. Edited March 4, 200719 yr by llothar
March 5, 200719 yr And as has been reported many times Vientiane and Savannakeht are reported to be issuing tourist visas without heartburn. Even the old don't come again stamps have ceased to be used.
March 5, 200719 yr I went to Vientiane in Dec for a Non Imm "B" no problems. They were also issuing Tourist Visa's I could see. It is not so busy there either. Apply 1 day before 12, go back next day after 1 and collect visa.

My final three month tourist visa came to an end few days ago. I went to the immigration office and was advised to go there before being booted out of Thailand. It worked.
March 5, 200719 yr I think you can get one at PP for one time only (they are not visa friendly ) Penang or Kuala will be the right choice
March 6, 200719 yr has anyone heard if you can get a second tourist visa (and how many entries?) from the thai embassy in Singapore? I got my first tourist visa in Australia (home country) in October with two entries allowed and extended the 2nd by 30 days recently.
March 6, 200719 yr I did go last november and did apply for a 3 month tourist visa. Had to come back 2 days later and visa was given without any further question. Next to the visa was another stamp stating "do not apply for a second time in Phom Penh". Thats fine with me, i just wanted to have a visa this time, as i did travel to Cambodia. Gunnar (german)
