I am a 65 yr old male who has never had kids and regrets not having the opportunity to raise a child. I would have thought dad might have seized the opportunity to raise a child himself rather than cruelly murder his son. How can anyone kill their own flesh and blood, an innocent child, just because he is now a bit of an inconvenience?

True, but we don't need extra government involvement in our lives punishing everyone because one idiot decided to kill his child. Instead, we need to look at the root causes of these things (including mental illness) and deal with them in the appropriate fashion.

I read this as I'm sitting in a fertility clinic. We've been trying for the past few years, but nothing. Then a story like this comes up and makes me want to smash every piece of furniture in sight.

Consider adoption ... too many people on this planet anyway .

Whilst I do not condone what this guy has done, the question has to asked -

" What drove him to do such a terrible thing to his own little boy ? "

I think to have done such a thing his mind became unhinged, and I am sure the Mother of the child played a part in this
