Yanawa police were called after staff on the BRT bus line found the body of a young woman floating in the canal in the central reservation of the Naratiwas Ratchanakharin Road yesterday.

Sanook reported that the body looked like that of a foreigner possibly Korean, Chinese or Japanese.

The woman was about 20-35 years old and was wearing a white shirt and blue skirt.

Police noticed that the body had a head wound. There was no ID on the body.

The body was taken to Chulalongkorn Hospital for autopsy.

BRT (Bus Rapid Transport) security man Suchart Phungjan, 42 said he was alerted by staff at the Chan station of the discovery of the woman.

Police are interviewing BRT staff to try and get a lead in the case.

I guess without identification they'll have to put her on ice and wait for someone or a country to come forward and make a missing person report.

Shame at an apparently young age.

This (apparent murder) will not be received well in any of those countries.

Why is this not an apparent accident?

There needs to be a total ban on Alcohol in Thailand to preserve the beautiful culture

Why?  What's alcohol got to do with this?
