Facebook and Instagram services suffer widespread outages

Several of Facebook’s products are suffering partial outages, affecting users globally.

 

Facebook’s main product, its Messenger service, image-sharing site Instagram and messaging app WhatsApp have all been disrupted.

The cause of the interruption is not yet known, or is yet to be made public.

 

"We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps,” the company said in a statement.

Looks like it affects certain regions as I have problems accessing FB via True but works fine when I am using a VPN via Singapore.

No need to panic. Do as I did. 

 

A: prepare breakfast

B: take a picture

C email picture to self

D go into work and print off 500 colour copies 

E: go outside and paste pictures to every tree and structure in immediate area.

Phones have made people much more productive. For people that were productive in the first place they magnify that, for people that play candy crush they magnify that.

Don't know anything about Instagram, so no comment on that, but it'd be great if face<deleted> had a permanent outage, IMO.

Just imagine if people had to actually talk to each other again, what a great thing that would be ( and no more imaginary friends ).
