Information required please.

I have been on a retirement visa for the last three years; I now plan to return to the UK for a few weeks, I know that I have to obtain a TM 8 re-entry permit prior to leaving Thailand.

My question is after my return and I go for my 90 day, or retirement visa renewal, do I have to put the latest arrival dates and information on the form and use the latest TM 6, or just continue to use the old TM 6 and the date when I first entered Thailand on which my retirement visa is based?

Please excuse me for being a bit thick!!! :o

Your old TM.6 will be collected as you leave Thailand so using it again is not an option. You are here on an extension of stay - not a visa.

1. Obtain re-entry permit using photo and 1,000 baht prior to leaving Thailand.

2. Exit Thailand in a normal fashion - your old TM.6 will be collected.

3. When provided new TM.6 on airline fill in information from the re-entry permit.

4. Immigration will stamp you in for the re-entry permit date (old permitted to stay from extension date). Make sure it is correct.

5. 90 days from entry report your address to Immigration in normal fashion (TM.47).
