Buying a used car in thai name,documents?

Been looking at a used car we like and thinking its moore easy to put the car on the wife,what documents is needed from previous owner(farang) and my wife(thai buyer)? Thanks.
What province are you in...some require a "certificate of residence" from a foreign seller.

This is correct and you should call your local DLT to ask if it's required.

If it's not required (most provinces), and both persons can go to the DLT together all they have to bring are passport / id card and the blue book of the car and the car itself, everything else which is required can be done when at the DLT.
