I have four dogs and one orphan kitten which I never had planned to adopt.  Don't get me wrong, I'm as much of a cat person as I am a dog person, but over the last 8 years we have taken care of about 10 different dogs and cats, finding homes for most and losing my one cat via an car hit.  Anyhow, we now have four dogs, two sets of brothers and sisters from different litters and about 6 years age difference -- and one 1 year old orphan cat whose mother abandoned in our roof (she had 4 and left us a gift).
I raised her from perhaps 4 weeks old.  She could not pee or poo on her own when I got her, so I learned alot about orphan kittens in a hurry.  I love her to death, but she has never been socialize with a mother and litter-mates. She did start a relationship with another kitten locally and it worked out really well until that kitten disappeared.
So, like my dogs, my cat doesn't not run free.  Dogs are fenced and the cat is tethered.  Except I'm now building her and outdoor/indoor cat residence.  She'll have plenty of room to roam within a fenced/caged area plus indoor shelter. That's for the day - at night she's an indoor cat.

So cutting to the chase - I'm looking for a companion for her,  preferably another cat who was orphaned or lost from her mother prior to being weaned.  A female would be good as most people don't want to deal with females and we'll have our new addition cared for and spayed when she is old enough.  These non-socialized orphans can be a handful, but like I said - I love ours.  She's a unique character and then some.

The construction on the building should be complete within a week, so I'll be looking for a new addition in the next month, but if you know of a candidate - well - let me know.  One more caveat - I'm not talking about feral cats.  If you have an extra orphaned cat that you personally have been caring for but need to find a home for - that's what I'm looking for.  My own kitten is 1 year old next month, so a kitten of the same age of younger would be ideal. Also it would be an immense help if that cat has had some socialization experience around dogs.  I'll be frank, any kitten I take in will be on a trial basis - gotta get along with my cat and not be freaked out by my pack of dogs who are all cat socialized.

As far as logistics, I live in rural Lamphun province, but make it up to the Chiang Mai once or twice a week.  If you have a kitten of interest - let's talk.  Give me some background including how much care that orphan has had and how up to date it's medical shots are.  A picture of two would be nice too.

Miss Lucky Kitty

Strays like feral cats aren't on my agenda.  I'm looking for a family that has a kitten (or kittens) they are caring for but need to find a good home for.  If the kitten was orphaned, than I'm willing to take it in as I've got the experience to handle her.  Orphans can be aggressive, bite a lot, not well socialized, and can be a general handful.  But I have a wonderful home for the right kitten.

Call Fon at Santisuk Cat Foundation Doi Saket:  081-638-2105.

She has many looking for homes & the kittens frequently get special treatment in her bedroom as they grow up.
