Poor Sonthi. Nobody is talking about his interview to Time Magazine...

Unfair.

Few comments :

-he has learned his lesson : he wears now a "civil" suit. Instead of his military uniform during his last interview on... CNN.

-He gives a new, and rather funny, explaination regarding the fact that investigations against Thaksin take sooooo long time : 1-because the team of ASC is small. 2-we wanted it small, to keep... confidentiality. :D

-foreign business community : "Since Sept. 19, we have issued a clear statement to foreign investors that any agreements that have been signed or will occur in future will be [valid]. What we want is business as usual."

I don't know what it means... But it must be "business as usual".

-south : Sonthi lives on another planet : "With 99% of the population down south, we are trying to instill a sense of patriotism, a love of country and of monarch. The remaining 1% are the perpetrators."

-role of military after elections : well now it's official. "The military will withdraw from politics and we will become, as we want to be, professional soldiers who will help develop the country any way we can." :o

Voila. To sum'up, now I understand why nobody talked about his interview.

It's meaningless.

Sorry to have disturbed your diner. :D
