Ao Nang or Phi Phi in Janaury

Featured Replies

Guys ,

Need some advice please on where to stay for 6 nights in January next year , i have  a healthy budget but i am a single traveller. Ill be In Krabi for

I'm thinking of either Ao Nang or Phi Phi - I  would like to do the Island /beach tours , snorkelling and some sea fishing if i can , I would also like some night life .

Where will be the better place to stay ?

Why not enjoy both? It is only an hour boat ride between the two.

Both places are beautiful in it's own way.

Doesnt matter.. They are almost in the same place. . Do both like suggested.. Phi phi is overcrowded... Aon nang likewise.. Head to the other islands nearby...OR... take one night in each and move on...

Ao Nang has more places to stay.  Some decent night life.  Scenic with the jungle, sea and limestone cliffs there.  Easy to take boats to the other islands.  Oh and the ferry from Ao Nang to and from Phuket is a really nice and scenic ride as you motor past small islands and out croppings.  Well worth the trip

Ao Nang.

You can take a day trip to Phi Phi to see how greed ruined paradise. Maya Bay isn't open yet because it  hasn't recovered from being destroyed by greed.

Ao Nang was ruined over 28 years ago, so you are not making it worse by staying there.
