DL expired

Hello. I need to get a five-year licence. Can I please ask a couple of Qs? 

 

1. I did the two-year DL in Pattaya, does it matter where I do the five-year DL (BKK or Pattaya)? Does the process differ between BKK and Pattaya?

2. how long after a two-year licence has expired can you upgrade to a five-year licence? My two-year licence expired in February (I've been away for work).

Doesn't matter where, can do it anywhere.

 

You can renew within one year after expiration without additional tests etc. Take into account that to be eligible for a 5 year license you need to have non-immigrant visa or extension of stay.

They will probably give you a sight colour test and break pedal response test and then will renew it starting from the date of your birthday so you

Also do not forget the certificate from Immigration to confirm your address, copies of your passport and visa, and medical certificate.....
