Country Blacklist

Featured Replies

I need to get a new non "B" visa soon and I was thinking about getting it in Laos. I have most of the paperwork required and will have the rest ASAP, but, I have heard a report that some countries are blacklisted at the Thai embassies/consulates in Laos.

Is someone pulling my leg. I had no problem getting tourist visas there before and I got my non "B" in Hong Kong last time.

When I went to Laos last time, there was a list on the one wall, but it was in Thai/Laos and I couldn't read it. But it had a few countries listed (USA, South Africa etc, very short list of about 10 or so countries)

I'm a South African citizen by the way and I'm worried about SA being blacklisted.

South African are fine.
