Ncaa Basketball Tournament On Tv?

Featured Replies

I'm living in Chiang Mai and last year I wasn't able to watch the Final 4, as I couldn't find a place that could pick it up here. Sucked, because I went to UCLA. Anyway, I'm wondering if there's any American's who live in Thailand that know of a place where I could watch the Final 4 (particularly the Championship Game). I'd definitely be willing to go down to BKK from Chiang Mai for that. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I did a search on past posts and looked at the UBC schedules, and it doesn't look good for watching any of the 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournement, except possibly the Championship (final) game.

I think the final game has been on live, over the past two years, on UBC (probably ESPN), but am a bit fuzzy on 2006, I think I was traveling back to Thailand from the U.S.A. that Monday and Tuesday? Am almost certain the 2005 final game was on.

In one post here last year there was a mention that Woodstock Bar on Thong Lor might have been showing some games? They have a website as do Bourbon Street, which often shows live sports events from the U.S., so maybe you could contact them to see if they will be showing games, and maybe report back here? (These are bars in Bangkok.)

I'll snoop around on some of the satellite offerings but am only familiar with the South African service and suspect no NCAA?

I'll be back in the U.S. for a few days so will get to see the semi-final games on March 31 but not the final game as I depart on Monday, April 2.

The Bruins look good again this year, having wrapped up their 29th league title yesterday, and going into the Pac 10 tournament on a roll.

A Mod might want to move this to the Sports forum as this will be a relevant topic in the coming days and weeks.

Hi,

Was able to watch some of the early games last year on DStv out of South African as they broadcast ESPN 2, but the round of 16 goes to the national TV (CBS, ABC, etc). I think it was 2005 that UBC (ESPN) broadcast the champsionship game, but not last year.

Check out this website if you have broadband internet.

You might have a better chance on the Philippine version of ESPN. They have a different programming then the ESPN we watch in Thailand and is much more American oriented (remnants from the US military presence...).

Ask your local satellite installation bloke for info on how to receive the Philippine network!
