Pattaya area abbot: Find this woman who stole 35,000 baht from my bedroom

8pm.jpg

An abbot in the Na Jomtien area has gone to the media to help in the hunt for a woman who was caught on CCTV stealing 35,000 baht from his quarters.

Phra Khru Thammayan Prayut, the abbot at the temple of Wat Nong Jap Tao, said that the woman entered his quarters on Saturday at 3pm.

She was aged about 26 to 35, 160 to 165 cms tall, dressed in short sleeved shirt and shorts. She had long hair.

She stole money in a bag hanging on the head of the bed and from a ledge used to store lustral water.

Na Jomtien police said they had shown the woman's image taken from the CCTV to locals in the area in an attempt to track her down.

She wasn't stealing...she was just removing temptation to help the abbot live a pure and virtuous life.

Sounds to me like the Abbot had been up to a bit of hanky panky, and paid her from the bag. How else would she know it was there and contained money.

Maybe she had trained with a drugs/cash dog and learnt to sniff it out herself.

I think if I came across the cash, my attitude would have 'lightened up' too.

What wealthy lifestyle for a monk! I thought that they need to live in poverty fed by "good-hearted" people. Not a high tech monk who seems to sell something that attracts addicts.

Pity the lady didn,t hang around long enough to tidy the place up a bit.....????

The only thing that surprises me is the Abbot only had 30,000b not 300,000 b.

Must be a slow month with most heading upcountry.

Look like the abbot may have a bad habbot....

Our monk's near Yaj's village has got all high tech others can only dream of.

Don't go there anymore because there are always people who want that their partner comes back, some want to know the lottery numbers of next month and the former great place has become to an airconditioned office for his Majesty.

Almost all people donate cash, even when they're considered poor.

That has nothing to do with Theravada Buddhism anymore.

Sound to me as though that is what your imagination would like you to think.

"How else would she know..."

Did the fact that someone could have told her about it escape your attention?

Take of your rose tinted glasses for a few minutes, and see what is happening in the world, you might just be shocked about what is going on instead of posting weird comments.

Mr Colin! As Poster of the Year you should know that "hanky panky" is not practiced by monks.

This is "shenanigans" or at a push "how's yer father".

Hanky Panky - never!

Please wash your mouth out with soap and lustral water.

Rooster
