Marriage extension application today at Jomtien immigration office

Just some quick info.  Went today to submit my annual marriage extension application. My 10th application.

For the last 9 years, Jomtien office required 3 photos of my wife and me together - one outside the condo (showing room number), one in the lounge, and one in the bedroom. Today the requirement has increased to 6 photos.

For the last 2 years, Jomtien office insisted that we bring a "witness". This year, they didn't want to talk with the witness, but informed us that we should expect a visit from immigration officers. This was at 10.00 am.  At 4 pm, they phoned, and said we will be visited by immigration officers at 9 am tomorrow.

I meet the financial requirement by cash in the bank. The senior officer (all the documents go from the first officer to a senior officer) wanted to know how much government pension I receive from UK. When I told her that this was a marriage extension, and not a retirement extension, and that she had my bank statements and bank book, she got a bit huffy, and said that "Bangkok wanted this information".  I have no idea why, because she wouldn't tell me. I didn't push it, as my wife was giving the evil eye, to stop.

Will update after the visit from immigration tomorrow, unless I am in the IDC.

They came, on time.  Spoke with my wife. Asked me one question - "where you come from ?".   Took 3 photos. And left, saying "You pass".

And that was it !

Well done, Tony - good your wife stopped you from asking more questions as IO really hate logic. When we had a visit from these dimwits my wife had to listen to all sorts of insults from these clueless individuals

What kind of 6 photos... Duplicates of the original 3... Or 6 photos of some other variety?

They didn't speak to the witness at the immigration office yesterday, but they asked to speak with him at our condo today.

One photo with the condo door number and five photos inside the condo together. Today they took more photos, with the witness in the photos too.
