Again your wrong, immigration will not question a physicians recommendation ha ha. Ohh yes they will, i am quoting my own case, when immigration claimed being in a coma is no excuse for overstay,

If you needed them to get out of the house  how did you get in the house ?

  • Most otherwise healthy people are capable of using crutches with their foot in a cast. Unless other factors are involved, I would be surprised if you can get a medical extension for a broken ankle.

The most outstanding topic I have read in the visa section for some time. Off to purchase crutches now, just in case.

Thank you to everybody who has replied to my post.

A friend had already got me some crutches from the pharmacy next to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. And I've ordered a fold up wheelchair from Lazada, only 2900 Baht !

I'm gonna try and visit a local visa shop on Monday for their opinion.

I was hoping to get an extension until my cast comes off. But from what you guys are saying, it sounds like a broken ankle is not a serious enough thing to warrant that. So I will have to carefully plan how I get to Laos. (And where to stay)

Thanks again for everybody's input.
