Driving Licence requirements

I have some British friends visiting Thailand for 3 months using an SETV. They hold a full UK licence but would like to apply for a Thai licence.

1. Will they be eligable?

2. If yes to 1 what are the requirements.

1.  Yes but only 2 year licence at Pattaya ( Some regions may not approve)

2. If Pattaya, go to Pattaya section for pinned topic. If some other area you should tell.

1. Depends on the DLT office they apply at.

They can drive using their UK photocard licence there is consensus to have it accompanied with IDP ( International Driving Permit  )  even though it is not required Thailand but TIT.
