You can provide the bank address if desired.....it doesn't hurt.  The SCB SWIFT code will have its address linked within the SWIFT system already.

You can send either.  However, if sending Euro you get a better exchange rate from the receiving Thai bank (SCB) that if you allowed the western bank to accomplish the Euro to baht exchange.  A lot depends on what you and the person sending the money have agreed to as to what currency will be used for settlement.

Bank Address at certain time can be use but can be risky especially language barrier and translation inaccuracy.
If you have multi-currency account, you will have the best rate of the foreign currency.
If you account is just an ordinary local currency THB., it will be converted either at the sender's country bank or upon reaching Thailand bank. This one a little tricky.
Example:

  • Foreign currency were remitted from foreign bank in the morning, when it reached Thai's bank in the afternoon on same day. The exchange rate have not much different despite it is about +/-1% different.
  • Foreign currency were remitted from foreign bank in the morning on Monday, it reached Thai's bank on Wednesday morning. The exchange rate will be different according to latest exchange rate. Unless prior foreign bank remit out the fund, they stated to the sender that the conversion to THB is already done and the THB reaches to Thai's bank will maintained.
  • Foreign currency were remitted from foreign bank in the morning, when it reached Thai's bank in the afternoon on same day or a few days later. Due to it is not same brand of bank. There is additional service fee deducted at the receiver's banking in Thailand.
