Some advice needed from our experienced members please. I am UK resident. I have been to Thailand several times over the years and twice had a 60 day tourist visa (single entry) from the Embassy in London. I extended one of the visa's at an immigration office by 30 days with no problems. Now they have just very recently introduced a new 'evisa' in London which requires much more stringent and time consuming procedure with more requirements making the whole process much more complicated. Now my query: If I enter Thailand on a 30 day visa exemption, apply for a 30 day extension (near to my exemption expiring) is it possible/ feasible to leave the country by a nearby border and receive another 30 days on return? I am working right up to my departure time from London so really don't want all the hassle with this new evisa system but still want a total of 90 days in Thailand. Visiting another adjacent country is not an issue for me and will be part of the adventure.

Just for reference and clarity. My last visit (under an exemption was in 2017 and last time I came with a 60 day visa was 2016

Yes, this is possible.

It'd be one visa exempt entry by air (with 30 day extension) and presumably one land entry - shouldn't be a problem. Your airline will want to see an onward flight if you travel without a visa.
